At YES Prep Rankin, we will pilot our Parent Mentor Program, pairing experienced parents with those seeking guidance in their child’s early learning journey. We will also host Parent Solutions 101 Workshops, teaching empowering life lessons that strengthen financial stability, family relationships, and the skills needed to help children thrive academically and socially.

Through this initiative, we are proud to partner with Fonwood Early Childhood Center to support its Family Garden Project and bring learning to life through our BJ “Know for Yourself” Parent Education Program.
Parents and volunteers will:
- Maintain the school’s family garden as a community resource.
- Participate in two-generational STEM and literacy activities connected to gardening.
- Learn healthy cooking skills by preparing recipes using fresh ingredients from the garden.
